The program provides practical, learning-oriented experience in one of UNESCO\u2019s priority areas and is designed to familiarize interns with the Organization\u2019s mandates, program and initiatives. Through this program, participants gain practical skills, relevant work experience and the academic knowledge needed to successfully embark on their professional careers. The internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the National Commission and interact with people from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Professional Internship Program for Young People is open to students, recent graduates and young professionals from all countries, thereby providing a global and international experience.<\/p>\n<p>Internship opportunities are available across all departments of the National Commission, including Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Culture, Communication and Information, as well as External Relations and Strategic Partnerships, UNESCO Clubs, Social Responsibility, Publications, Public Relations, Content Production and Design, and Information Technology. When submitting your application, please specify your area of expertise and field of interest related to one of the above-mentioned departments.<\/p>\n<h3>Duties and Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<p>Participation in the relevant program area of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. Each department will adapt and organize the following tasks according to its specific mandate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting in the preparation of workshops, events and ongoing meetings of the Commission, including conducting preliminary research, preparing briefing materials and developing key messages;<\/li>\n<li>Collecting and analyzing case studies and best practices related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in UNESCO-related fields;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with UNESCO\u2019s Creative Cities and Learning Cities initiatives and the preparation and submission of applications;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting background research and application processes for UNESCO Chairs, Clubs and Networks across the country;<\/li>\n<li>Publishing and updating the above-mentioned information through UNESCO\u2019s website, with a focus on improving SDG-related resources and information on the UNESCO web portal;<\/li>\n<li>Conducting desk research to support the development and finalization of skills development toolkits;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the preparation and editing of texts related to proposals and reports for the Commission\u2019s educational and cultural projects;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing reports and news articles and providing media coverage of the Commission\u2019s meetings and program, including written content (online and in real time) and visual content (photographs and videos), designing communication materials and posters, maintaining effective relations with the media and ensuring the timely dissemination of news through official platforms, with a view to enhancing the Commission\u2019s profile and achieving its communication objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Responding to information requests and supporting the dissemination and circulation of information within the Communication and Information Department;<\/li>\n<li>Participating in other projects and tasks, as required and according to the interests of the intern and the Commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benefits of the Internship Program<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Practical work experience<\/strong>: Interns have the opportunity to participate in real-world projects, contribute to the mission of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and gain valuable experience for their professional careers;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Skills development<\/strong>: Interns can enhance their technical, professional and intercultural skills while becoming familiar with the mandates and day-to-day activities of UNESCO and the National Commission;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Networking opportunities<\/strong>: Building connections with experienced professionals and expanding their professional network in their field of interest;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Professional development<\/strong>: Access to training and professional development opportunities, including workshops and seminars;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cultural exchange<\/strong>: International interns will work in a multicultural environment and benefit from interaction with colleagues from diverse backgrounds;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Positive impact<\/strong>: The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to education, culture, science and communication, support the efforts of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO to promote peace and sustainable development, and create a positive impact at the national level in Iranian culture and society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications and Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Full proficiency in Persian and English, both written and spoken, is required;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in one of the official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, French or Spanish) is considered an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze processes;<\/li>\n<li>A strong interest in learning and personal development;<\/li>\n<li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms;<\/li>\n<li>An interest in education;<\/li>\n<li>Currently in the advanced stages of a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork skills;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimum internship duration<\/strong>: 6 months (full-time);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Age range<\/strong>: 18 to 35 years;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: Office of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, Mirdamad Street, Tehran;<\/li>\n<li>The Commission does not provide any salary, accommodation allowance or transportation costs for the internship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please send your complete CV, academic certificates, official university transcripts and motivation letter by email to <a href=\"mailto:unesco@irunesco.org\">unesco@irunesco.org<\/a>.
