These projects must be completed within a maximum period of two years.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that the Award amounts to approximately US$5,000. In preparing their projects, applicants should take into account that the implementation of UNESCO\u2019s Man and the Biosphere Programme through 2025 is guided by the Lima Action Plan and the Program\u2019s Strategy towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Applicants should also clearly indicate how their projects are linked to the research actions under the Lima Action Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2022, five additional annual awards, supported by the Principality of Monaco, have been granted to studies focusing on marine, island and coastal issues in biosphere reserves.
