The National \u201cBasavad\u201d Campaign, aimed at promoting UNESCO\u2019s twelve types of literacy and aligning them with Iran\u2019s Fundamental Transformation Document of Education, concluded.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The closing ceremony of the National \u201cBasavad\u201d Campaign was held on 7 January 2026. The campaign, aimed at promoting UNESCO\u2019s \u201cTwelve Types of Literacy\u201d and aligning them with the six educational domains outlined in Iran\u2019s Fundamental Transformation Document of Education, was launched on 8 September, coinciding with International Literacy Day, with the intellectual and technical support of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and through the efforts of the General Directorate of Education of Razavi Khorasan Province. It continued until the end of November.<\/p>\n

At the virtual ceremony, Dr. Hassan Fartousi, Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, delivered a speech via video message. Emphasizing the innovative objectives of the \u201cBasavad\u201d Campaign, he described UNESCO\u2019s twelve types of literacy as essential for life in the new global ecosystem. He stated that the \u201cBasavad\u201d Campaign in Iran, by introducing the various dimensions of modern literacy and linking them to the educational domains outlined in the Fundamental Transformation Document, is moving precisely in this direction.<\/p>\n
