These sites host a significant proportion of the world\u2019s biodiversity and play an important role in carbon storage and climate regulation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The report also emphasizes the need to strengthen ecosystem restoration, cross-border cooperation, the integration of these sites into climate policies, and participatory governance involving local communities.
