Dr. Hassan Fartousi, Secretary-General of Iran\u2019s National Commission for UNESCO, speaking at a ceremony held to recognize the efforts, support, and commitment of the institution\u2019s staff during the recent war, described human resources as the organization\u2019s most valuable asset in times of crisis. He commended his colleagues for their effective role in ensuring the continuity of activities and fulfilling the Commission\u2019s mission, as well as their efforts to achieve lasting peace.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

<\/p>\n

At the meeting, Dr. Fartousi expressed his appreciation for the sense of responsibility, professional commitment, and solidarity demonstrated by the staff of Iran\u2019s National Commission for UNESCO during the sensitive and challenging days of the recent war.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He noted that many colleagues had expressed their willingness to continue organizational activities despite concerns arising from the wartime situation and the need to be with their families. He described this approach as a sign of their sense of responsibility, organizational loyalty, and sound understanding of the country\u2019s circumstances.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Secretary-General of Iran\u2019s National Commission for UNESCO also referred to certain management decisions made during that period, emphasizing the need to balance professional responsibilities with humanitarian considerations. He identified ensuring the safety, peace of mind, and well-being of staff members\u2019 families as a priority for the organization.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In another part of his remarks, he described the perseverance, patience, and solidarity demonstrated by the Iranian people during the war as a valuable asset for the country, stating that overcoming difficult circumstances depends on mutual understanding, social responsibility, and the participation of all segments of society.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fartousi also commended the performance of the Commission\u2019s various departments during this period, expressing appreciation for the initiatives undertaken and the efforts made to maintain the continuity of activities and carry out the organization\u2019s mission. He identified cooperation and coordination among different units as key factors in managing exceptional circumstances.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

During the gathering, staff members who had helped ensure the continuity of the Commission\u2019s activities through their commitment, sense of responsibility, and active presence during the critical days of the war were recognized. The importance of organizational cohesion, solidarity, and cooperation in responding to crisis situations was also emphasized.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere and provided an opportunity to honour the human resources of Iran\u2019s National Commission for UNESCO.
