The prize aims to support pioneering scientific research on the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and promote the practical application of ethical principles in AI.<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"post-text wp-block-paragraph\">In this regard, universities, research institutes, scientific centers and other eligible institutions are invited to nominate researchers, institutions and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in this field to The Iranian National Commission for UNESCO for consideration for the prize.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"post-text wp-block-paragraph\">The Abu Rayhan Biruni Medal will be awarded to three laureates, each of whom will receive USD 30,000.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"post-text wp-block-paragraph\"><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The main criteria for evaluating scientific projects for this prize are as follows:<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quality and depth of scientific research in the field of AI ethics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impact on policymaking, regulation and standard-setting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International and interdisciplinary scientific cooperation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical application of research findings and ethical principles;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social impact and international achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"post-text wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline for submitting nominations is 30 January 2027.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Required Documents and Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"post-text wp-block-paragraph\">According to the invitation letter issued by UNESCO, self-nominations will not be accepted.
