Among the city’s sweets and snacks, Angosht-Pich, a thick and elastic confection made from egg whites, sugar and rosewater; Komaj, a sweet and nourishing bread filled with walnuts and cinnamon; Halva-ye Zardeh, a delicate and nutritious sweet made primarily from egg yolks and saffron; and Qout, a traditional and nourishing combination of bread, herbs, walnuts and cheese served as a customary afternoon snack, are among the most popular symbols of Hamedani hospitality.
