| در سال ۱۳۰۶ یک مهاجر روسی به نام «خاچو(خاچیک) مادیکیانس» کافه نادری را در خیابان نادری (جمهوری امروز) دایر کرد. این شخص برای اولین بار در تهران به کار شیرینی پزی پرداخت و چندی بعد در جوار «کافه نادری» مهمانخانه ای به همان نام احداث کرد. برای نخستین بار در تهران در رستوران این هتل بود که غذاهای فرنگی چون بیفتک وبیف استروگانف وغیره به ایرانیان عرضه شد. همچنین «کافه گلاسه)»، بستنی فرنگی، انواع قهوه های ترک و فرانسه و انواع نان های قالبی نیز برای اولین مرتبه به وسیله مؤسس این مهمانخانه در اختیار علاقه مندان گذاشته شد. علی رغم این که در آن زمان چنین واحدهایی دائر شده و از مهمانان پذیرایی می کردند معذالک اشتغال در امور مهمانخانه داری و خدمات پذیرایی فعالیتی مشروع به شمار نمی رفت. نوشته کوتاه روزنامه اطلاعات مورخ سی ام شهریورماه ۱۳۰۷ شاهد گویایی بر این مدعا بود. | In 1306, a Russian immigrant, Khacho (Khachik) Madikyan, established Cafe Naderi on Naderi Street (today’s republic). This person was the first to work in confectionery in Tehran, and later he built a guesthouse next to the “Café Naderi” with the same name. For the first time in Tehran, there was a hotel in the restaurant that offered food products such as Bifekk and Babi Stroganoff and others to Iranians. Also, the “Café Glace”, ice cream, a variety of Turkish and French coffee, and a variety of bread buns were also offered to the enthusiast for the first time by the founder. In spite of the fact that at that time such units were provided and welcomed guests, however, guest accommodation and catering services were not a legitimate activity.
