Call for Applications to Join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network ۲۰۲۵
The New UNESCO Creative Cities Network Call for Applications for 2025 Has Been Issued.
UNESCO has issued a new call for applications to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) for 2025. Interested cities are invited to complete and submit their application forms online by 31 June 2025.
The UNESCO Creative Cities Network was established in 2004 to promote cooperation among cities that recognize creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. The cities participating in the Network seek to place creativity and cultural industries at the heart of local development strategies and to engage actively in international cooperation. Through innovative and targeted approaches, member cities seek to generate positive economic, social, cultural, and environmental impacts through their initiatives. By joining the Network, cities commit to sharing their positive practices and fostering cooperation among the private sector, public authorities, and civil society.
The Network covers seven creative fields: Crafts and Folk Art, Media Arts, Film, Design, Gastronomy, Literature, and Music.
Municipalities interested in applying to join the Network are required to carefully review the application guidelines and complete the registration form in English. The completed form, together with the required supporting documents, should be submitted to the National Commission for UNESCO in Iran at culture@irunesco.org. For further information, applicants may contact +98 21 22254339.
As noted above, under the new UNESCO Creative Cities Network call for applications, interested cities have the opportunity to complete and submit the standard application forms by 31 June 2025.
