Call for Membership in the Scientific Advisory Council of the UNESCO International Basic Sciences Program
UNESCO has invited Member States to nominate candidates for membership in the Scientific Advisory Council of its International Basic Sciences Program (IBSP). |
This program, one of UNESCO’s flagship programs, is designed to strengthen international cooperation in the basic sciences and enhance national capacities in scientific education and research.
It is worth noting that the IBSP Scientific Advisory Council, approved by the UNESCO General Conference in 2005, serves as an advisory body for promoting these objectives. The Council consists of 12 eminent scientists from various fields of the basic sciences, who are appointed by the Director-General of UNESCO in their personal capacity.
Eligible candidates have until 4 January 2025 to submit their CVs in English and Persian to the Science Division of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO at science@irunesco.org. The Commission will respond to candidates whose nominations are accepted.
