The National Committee for Fundamental Sciences (IBSP) coordinates UNESCO’s International Basic Sciences Program in Iran by strengthening scientific cooperation, advancing education and research, and harnessing the potential of fundamental sciences to support sustainable development.
National Committee for Fundamental Sciences
The National Committee for Fundamental Sciences was established to support the expansion of promotional, research, and educational activities in the fields of fundamental sciences, life sciences, and engineering; develop national, regional, and international programs related to the fundamental sciences; and promote cooperation, coordination, and participation among relevant stakeholders. The Committee comprises experts from national organizations, ministries, and universities. Its bylaws were approved at the meeting of the Executive Council of the National Commission for UNESCO held on 7 March 2017.
