UNESCO Calls for Participation in the Global “Voices of the Decade of Science” Campaign
Coinciding with the First Global Conference of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, UNESCO has invited researchers, professors, students, artists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and all those interested in science to participate in the global “Voices of the Science Decade” campaign. |

The campaign aims to reflect people’s perspectives, experiences, and hopes regarding the role of science in achieving sustainable development and building a better future. Participants can respond to one of the following questions by sharing a post on social media:
- “I am part of the Science Decade because…”
- “What change do I hope the Science Decade will bring to my field of work, my community, or my daily life?”
Participants are encouraged to share their messages in the form of text, photographs, videos, infographics, articles, or other creative formats. They can join this global initiative by using the hashtags #ScienceForThePeople, #ScienceDecade, and #IDSSD, and tagging UNESCO’s account, @UNESCO.
The campaign provides an opportunity to convey a shared message: science belongs to everyone, and achieving the goals of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development will only be possible through the broad participation of the scientific community and the public.
