Visit by the Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO to the Library of Professor Najafi Abrandabadi
| On 15 December 2024, Dr. Hassan Fartousi, Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, and his delegation visited the Library of Professor Najafi Abrandabadi for Law and Criminal Sciences, located in the Adl Building of the University of Yazd. |
The visit was attended by Dr. Ali-Akbar Jafari, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and History at the University of Yazd. Dr. Mojtaba Malek-Afzali, Director of the Library, provided an overview of its history and key activities as an academic and cultural institution. The two sides also discussed potential areas for cooperation between the Library and the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.
It is worth noting that the Library was established in 2018 through the endowment of books from the personal library of Dr. Najafi Abrandabadi. Dr. Najafi Abrandabadi is a distinguished retired professor of Shahid Beheshti University who endowed the collection, representing the outcome of 50 years of experience, in the form of this library.
