Interdisciplinary Expert Meeting on Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Focusing on Skin Diseases

The Academy of Medical Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran is organizing an expert meeting on complementary and integrative medicine, focusing on skin diseases, as part of its efforts to expand scientific engagement and strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation.

The Academy of Medical Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran is organizing an expert meeting on complementary and integrative medicine, focusing on skin diseases, as part of its efforts to expand scientific engagement and strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation.

This scientific meeting will be held under four specialized themes: “The Need for Interdisciplinary Dialogue,” “Cutaneous Leishmaniasis,” “Melasma,” and “Urticaria,” with the participation of prominent professors and specialists in dermatology, traditional medicine and traditional pharmacy, and with Dr. Maryam Iranzad Asl serving as the scientific secretary.

The objectives of this scientific meeting are:

  • Strengthening scientific engagement between conventional medicine and traditional medicine specialists

  • Examining common skin conditions and providing innovative and interdisciplinary solutions

  • Evaluating proposed solutions for the prevention and treatment of skin diseases through an integrative approach

It should be noted that the meeting will be held on Thursday, 22 May 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Academy of Medical Sciences, General Assembly Hall.
