The Fourth National Green University Conference Was Held

The conference aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and achievements among universities, raise public awareness, and explore innovative approaches to green management. The national event brought together senior officials, university presidents, distinguished academics, and environmental advocates. Through discussions and exchanges of views, it sought to foster cooperation and synergy among universities to strengthen green management programs.

The main themes of the conference included water and wastewater management, waste management, green spaces and irrigation, renewable energy, energy consumption management, green transportation, green information and communication technologies, sustainable university campus design, and national and international university experiences in green management. Four specialized panels were also held, focusing on “Energy,” “Water and Wastewater,” “Waste Management,” and “The Role of Universities in Green Governance.”

Other activities during the one-day conference included visits to exhibition booths, presentations of green management experiences and achievements by various universities, the reading of a declaration, the announcement of the host of the Fifth Green University Conference, and the presentation of trophies and certificates of appreciation to representatives of outstanding universities.

It is also worth noting that, on the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition showcasing the achievements of universities across the country was held, featuring Shahid Beheshti University of Technology, Alzahra University, University of Zanjan, Razi University of Kermanshah, Shiraz University, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and Imam Sadiq University, with a focus on green universities.
