Call for Participation in the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Program’s Global Youth Storytelling Initiative

The Secretariat of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Program has issued a call for participation in the Global Youth Storytelling Initiative.

Under this initiative, young people aged 18–35, particularly photographers and visual storytellers, are invited to submit original photographs or short videos filmed on mobile phones, documenting the coexistence of human communities and ecosystems in biosphere reserves.

Suggested themes include biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, the preservation of cultural traditions, and sustainable innovations.

Selected participants will benefit from opportunities such as specialized visual storytelling training, professional equipment, and other forms of support to develop their work.

The deadline for submissions is 31 May 2026.
