The second issue of the Newsletter of Iran’s National Commission for UNESCO has been published. Divided into three sections, this issue covers the most significant UNESCO events and news across the Organization’s fields of competence, the activities and achievements of Iran’s National Commission for UNESCO, and the activities of other UNESCO National Commissions and Field Offices during the winter season.
The issue highlights topics including the expansion of educational and scientific cooperation, the organization of events and specialized meetings, the protection of cultural and natural heritage, and the strengthening of inter-institutional and international cooperation. Following the outbreak of the Third Imposed War on 28 February 2026, Iran’s National Commission for UNESCO also adopted measures in response to the crisis, aimed at expanding scientific and cultural diplomacy. Some of these measures are documented in the winter issue of the newsletter.
