The Call for Nominations for the 2025 UNESCO-Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology has been announced. |
The UNESCO-Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology is awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions to research and development in microbiology and its applications, including immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and related fields. Presented by the Government of Cuba, the prize consists of a certificate of recognition and a monetary award of US$10,000. It may be awarded to an individual, institution, or organization whose efforts and dedication have led to exceptional achievements in the field.
Applicants have until 16 November 2025 to complete and submit the relevant forms online. Following the evaluation process, eligible candidates selected for consideration will be nominated by the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO to the relevant UNESCO department.
