The closing ceremony of the Second National “Neshan-e Nikoukari” Festival was held in Tehran on 16 February 2026. The national event concluded after a period of activities focused on developing a framework for the accreditation of charitable organizations.

Launched at the beginning of the year, the festival aimed to establish a national system to improve the performance of charitable institutions and strengthen transparent, accountable, and systematic approaches to philanthropy.

The closing ceremony was attended by prominent figures in policymaking and social affairs, including Abdolhossein Khosropanah, Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi, Ali Rabiei, Seyed Mohammad Bathaei, Seyed Javad Hosseini, and Alireza Rahimi. A representative of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO also attended the ceremony. The Commission’s participation in such events reflects its support for initiatives that strengthen social capital, enhance transparency, and promote public participation.

At the ceremony, 15 charitable institutions and eight charitable centers were recognized as award recipients. Two books, entitled Neshan-e Nikoukari and On the Path to Excellence, were also unveiled.

The festival can be regarded as an effective step towards facilitating dialogue and networking among civil society organizations, the media, and philanthropists. This initiative contributes to fostering a lasting discourse on philanthropy based on transparency, accountability, and continuous learning. Such an approach is particularly important for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to reducing inequalities and strengthening social participation.
