| The second edition of the National Brand Diplomacy Forum, entitled “National Brand Congress – National Power,” was held with the participation of the Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and a number of officials, executives, and experts in the economic and scientific fields. The event highlighted the role of human capital, scientific credibility, and knowledge-based development in enhancing the national brand. |
At the event, following an examination of economic and trade challenges by experts and executives, Dr. Hassan Fartousi, Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, delivered a speech entitled “Iran’s National Brand: From Economic Competitiveness to Global Knowledge Credibility.” He emphasized the role of human capital, scientific credibility, and responsible technology governance in shaping the national brand.
He noted that a sustainable brand is built not only through production and exports, but also through the quality of education, digital skills, international scientific cooperation, sustainable development, and technology ethics, all of which are key factors in enhancing Iran’s international image. Dr. Fartousi also stressed the importance of aligning national policies with global standards and leveraging UNESCO’s capacities to promote knowledge-based development and social responsibility.
The role of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO as a scientific and governmental body in strengthening the national brand through synergies among the country’s education, science, and industrial sectors was also emphasized. Dr. Fartousi proposed that, in addition to economic and industrial indicators, complementary indicators such as international scientific cooperation, the quality of human capital, and the level of responsible technology governance should also be taken into account when assessing the national brand.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a number of the country’s leading entrepreneurs were honored in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and other officials.
